SY-B5This product is refined from a variety of salt compounds through high-temperature dehydration. It is widely favored in the production process of sand castings or thick wall castings of hard molds due to its excellent modification effect and special application advantages.
Product Feature
• Properties: Grayish-white powder (2.5 kg/bag).
• Applicable alloys: Sub-eutectic and eutectic aluminum-silicon alloys with silicon content ranging from (6 to 13)%.
• Processing temperature: 700℃ ~ 740℃ .
• Recommended dosage: (1.5~3) % of the molten aluminum weight.
• Packaging and storage: Cartons or woven bags lined with plastic bags, 20kg or 25kg per piece. Store properly and strictly prevent moisture.
Main Advantages
◀ The processing temperature is low, and the modification effect is good and stable.
◀ The grains ofthe castings are significantly refined, improving the mechanical properties of the alloy, especially enhancing its plasticity.
Usage Method
Sprinkle a certain amount of flux on the liquid surface and keep it for 10 to 12 minutes, or break the hard shell and stir it into the deep part of the liquid. After 3 to 5 minutes, remove the residue to check the modification effect.
Insufficient Modification: Fracture surface appears dark gray with coarse grains and distinct bright silicon specks.
Adequate Modification: Fracture surface exhibits a silvery-white velvety texture, characterized by uniform fine grains and absence of visible silicon specks
Over-Modification: Fracture surface bluish-gray coloration with eutectic aggregation, caused by excessive modifier addition.
