Long-lasting Strontium Salt Modifier SY-SB4
SY-SB4This product is mainly composed of strontium salt and other salts, which are prepared in a certain proportion after dehydration. It is mainly used for the modification of hypoeutectic and eutectic alum inum-silicon alloys with a long casting time. It is an ideal modifier for the modification treatment of sub-eutectic and eutectic aluminum-silicon alloys with a long casting time, especially for low-pressure casting and gravity mold casting.
Product Feature
• Properties: White powder (2.5kg/ bag).
• Processing temperature: 725℃~ 760℃ .
• Recommended dosage: Add at (0.5-1.0)% of the weight of the molten aluminum.
• Packaging and storage: Cartons or woven bags lined with plastic bag, 20kg or 25kg per carton. Store properly and strictly prevent moisture.
Main Advantages
After treatment with this product, the eutectic structure is significantly refined, the mechanical properties of the alloy are well improved, the tensile strength can be increased by about 20%, the mechanical processing performance is also improved, and the plastic deformation is small.
Usage Method
Sprinkle a certain weight of flux evenly over the melt surface, hold for 5–10 minutes, then stir thoroughly deep into the melt. After 30 minutes, skim off the dross and cast test bars for fracture inspection. Once normal modification is achieved, casting may proceed.
