FEATURE DESCRIPTION:

Vanadium Remover SY-CVJ1  is an aluminum-based functional reagent. Leveraging aluminum's reducibility, it undergoes chemical reactions with vanadium elements in molten aluminum, converting vanadium impurities into precipitates or easily separable compounds to achieve molten aluminum purification. Its core principle involves utilizing aluminum as a reducing flux to preferentially form high-melting-point or insoluble products with vanadium. These products are then removed through processes such as solidification and dross skimming, thereby reducing vanadium content in aluminum products and enhancing purity.

Processing temperature: 720℃ ~ 760℃ .

Recommended dosage: Add at a ratio of (5-10):1 of the Vanadium removal amount.

Packaging: Carton or woven bag.

Packaging and storage: Cardboard boxes or woven bags lined with  plastic bags, 20kg or 25kg per piece. Store properly and strictly prevent moisture.

Usage Method

Under an inert gas or nitrogen Temperature, heat the molten aluminum to be purified to 720℃-760℃. Depending on the vanadium content, the vanadium remover can be injected in batches; a second injection may be performed after testing results. After each injection of vanadium remover into the molten aluminum using a powder injection tank, skim the dross immediately after injection, , then hold the temperature for 15-25 minutes to allow the vanadium remover to fully react with vanadium in the molten aluminum. 

 Subsequently,conduct dross skimming again and let it stand for 30-40 minutes to allow the infusible reaction products to precipitate, thereby removing vanadium from the molten aluminum. When the vanadium content is below 100 ppm, the dosage of Vanadium remover should be increased as appropriate. The lower the Vanadium content, the greater the treatment difficulty, hence the dosage should be increased accordingly.
