FEATURE DESCRIPTION:

Sodium Modifier is a dedicated metallurgical auxiliary material developed to solve the core industry pain point of brittleness induced by acicular silicon phase in aluminium‑silicon alloy casting.

With precise composition design and strict process control, it achieves high‑efficiency, stable and low‑cost modification effects.

Currently, it is the most widely‑adopted and cost‑effective modification solution for hypoeutectic and eutectic aluminium‑silicon alloy casting, especially suitable for manufacturing critical castings with high mechanical property requirements, including pistons, engine blocks, cylinder heads and wheel hubs.


Product Feature

Properties: Granular(1~2.5)kg/per bag

Applicable Alloys: Hypoeutectic and eutectic aluminum-silicon alloys with silicon content ranging from 6% to 13%.

Processing temperature700℃ ~ 740℃。

Recommended dosage(1.5~3) %.

Packaging and storageCartons  or woven bags lined with plastic bags, 20kg or 25kg per piece. Store properly and strictly prevent moisture.

Usage Method

Operate rotary degassing equipment to create a vortex, add metered granular sodium modifier, and the equipment will automatically disperse it into the aluminum vortex for intimate contact with molten aluminum.

After three minutes, lower the baffle; once the molten surface stabilizes and dross floats to the surface, perform dross skimming.

Cast test bars and proceed with casting once normal modification is confirmed.
