This product is made by blending various salt compounds in a certain proportion and processed through a special technique. The slag treated by it becomes quite dry and loose, with very little aluminum mixed in the slag, thereby reducing the loss of aluminum, improving the material utilization rate and the purity of the aluminum liquid.

Product Feature

• Properties: White or grayish-white powder, 1kg per bag or 2.5kg per bag.

• Applicable alloys: Other aluminum and aluminum alloys except high-magnesium aluminum alloys.

• Processing temperature: 680℃ ~ 760℃.

• Recommended dosage: Add at (0.1-0.3) % of the weight of the aluminum melt. The specific dosage should be adjusted according to the type of furnace and the purity of the furnace charge.

• Packaging and storage: carton or woven bags lined with plastic bags, 20kg or 25kg per box. Store properly and prevent moisture.

Main Advantages

◀ Good heat generation, separation of aluminum in slag, and decomposition of aluminum oxide in slag, making aluminum slag dry and loose, very easy to remove.

◀ After treatment, it improves both the purity of molten aluminum and alloy properties, and reduces aluminum loss.

◀ Reduce the adhesion of slag to the furnace wall and furnace bottom, avoid damage to the furnace body, extend the service life of the furnace body and reduce the number of furnace cleaning times.

Usage Method

Evenly spread the drossing flux on the surface of molten aluminum, promptly stir the dross to ensure full contact between flux and dross for 3-5 minutes, and skim off the dross once it turns dry and powdery.
